Job Description:
The Spray Manager position is responsible for the oversight of all spray activity.
Responsibilities:
Chemical recommendation and mixing instruction supplied by Agronomist/Farm Manager to be followed by Spray crew Responsible for oversight of 6 to 10 spray drivers as well as mixing of chemicals Ensures water has correct pH balance (for mixing) and chemicals are being measured and mixed correctly Ensures a safe work environment with proper equipment present as well as PPE being worn Organize, clean up and maintain Spray area Be prepared with correct parts that might be needed Ensure all paperwork is organized and being filled out correctly Responsible for working with Agronomist/Farm Manager on schedule and making sure all Sprays are closed out Ensures compliance with all labor laws, primus audits for food safety, company policy and workers safety Pick up parts & materials as needed Issue a purchase order for any purchase made for Tulare County Spray Operations
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Basic computer skills is a plus, but not required Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and listening (in either English or Spanish) High level of work ethic and organizational & time management skills Flexibility in juggling competing priorities and changing expectations Ability and willingness to work nights when high temperatures require Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required Minimum 10 years' experience in spray operations of production agriculture-Almonds, Pistachios, or Citrus experience preferred Job Type:
