Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate coding and billing - Assign appropriate ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and CPT codes to procedures - Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical services - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure accurate and timely billing
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred - Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role - Strong knowledge of medical coding systems, including ICD-10, CPT, and DRG - Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and documentation - Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Note:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
