Nurse Practitioner
CADUCEUS Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner to provide surge services at Fort Hunter - Liggett in Monterey County, California. This is a great opportunity to provide services to the enlisted personnel at the Battalion Aid Station there starting in July, 2015
Qualifications
Education
The NP will have graduated from an accredited master's level or doctoral program with additional knowledge to practice in their clinical specialty
Licensure(s)
The NP will possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a NP in any of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands and be able to obtain clinical privileges to practice medicine at a medical treatment facility where services are provided. You must have or obtain a current, valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
Certification/Registration
You must have and maintain certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Be certified by a nationally recognized certifying body appropriate to the specialty area of practice. The NP have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted DEA certificate. Shall possess a Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) number as required by state agencies where the provider is licensed. Have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is the only program accepted. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification is desirable, but not required.
Experience
All applicants must have a minimum of one year of experience within the last three years working as a Nurse Practitioner. Studies and experience specifically related to Women's Health Issues is desirable, but not required.
Specific Tasks
The NP will be responsible for providing sick call and referral services as they occur.
The NP will collect and record, in proper format, medical and social historical data appropriate to the patient's condition.
